I remember the first time I saw a Mossman dress…my girlfriend Sarah M, as always, fashionably fabulous, was wearing a lime citrus dress that I just had to have. It was speaking to me…the usual, “BUY ME! BUY ME!”.  I was straight into Mossman at Melbourne’s QV, frantically searching the rack and there it was… between the neon pink shirt and cobalt blue shorts, unfortunately not in my size!  But as anyone who has wondered in a Mossman store would know, there was plenty to try on. I quickly discovered an equally amazing bustier and like many others, I’ve since become an avid fan.

This up and coming label is fast achieving a cult following. It’s edgy, fashionable and on trend pieces are not only affordable but fabulous too! When speaking to the girls behind Mossman Clothing’s latest collection, you sense straight away that they have a love affair with fashion and lucky for us, it shows!

It’s no surprise that their AW12 Collection is appropriately titled,Chemical Romance. I was privileged enough to get a sneak peek last week and it is clear that the label is starting to come into its own, emerging from the creative underground. I hit the town on Saturday night sporting the Double Jeopardy Skirt and In the Spin Top and I am pleased to report I had many fashionistas quiz  “where is your outfit from?”

Recent advertising in FASHION JOURNAL OF MOSSMAN’S Chemical Romance AW 12 launch-FEB ISSUE

Recently the lovely people at Mossman were kind enough to send me some sneak peek shots of their latest collection, titled ‘Chemical Romance’. There isn’t much going on in the prints department (with the exception of a few pieces), so the focus really is on the construction and design of the pieces. Through their effective use of colour and the right balance of masculinity and femininity, they’ve created a collection to die for. What I’m really liking about this collection is that Mossman are developing a signature style, with pieces that are clearly Mossman pieces. You can pre-order the collection as of today on the Mossman website.

With her porcelain skin, rich red hair and delicate features, it’s no wonder that I asked Brooke to model for my first ever shoot. Brooke was a pleasure to work with, and needed no instruction whatsoever. Sartorial superwoman Tiana Dejanovic created an effortlessly cool, toned-down look with pieces from Mossman and Stylestalker. I look forward to working with both Brooke and Tiana on future shoots. I’ve got a plan in the works, but you’ll have to wait to find out just what kind of plan.

I am very excited to announce that I am joining the Mossman Team as a Guest Blogger.

 I have recently had the opportunity to spend time with the Mossman Team and been able to see what goes on behind the scenes. The careful selection of fabrics, styles and colours, joined with the teams dedicated research of the seasons trends ensures that Mossman is always fashion forward.

 I have had lots of fun playing dress ups and experimenting with styles and textures that I normally wouldn’t dare to wear. But the minute you slip into a Mossman number it instantly gives you confidence and you feel so amazing!

That’s what Mossman is all about. Inspiring women to experiment with WOW pieces and portraying it with attitude!
